A Clear, Fast, Proven Process for Every Customer
Diamond Die is built on speed, precision, and reliability. But just as important is how we work with our customers. Whether you’re replacing a worn applicator component, requesting a new crimping applicator, or developing custom dies for a new harness program, our process is simple, transparent, and designed to keep your production moving.
We make it easy for engineers, buyers, and production teams to get exactly what they need with minimal downtime and zero guesswork.
A Straightforward Process from Start to Finish
Our workflow was designed for busy manufacturing teams who need fast answers, fast quotes, and fast delivery. Every job follows the same proven steps:
Send Us Your Drawings or Your Parts
Upload your drawings, specifications, photos or simply ship the wire and terminals, or worn or damaged tooling directly to us. No prints? No problem. Diamond Die specializes in recreating components without documentation through reverse engineering.
Step 1
We Evaluate, Engineer, and Quote
Our engineering team reviews your part and determines the fastest, most accurate path forward.
Within 2 to 7 business days, you receive:
- A detailed quote
- Engineering recommendations (if applicable)
- Clarifying questions, if needed
- Estimated lead time
No waiting weeks for pricing. No layers of account management. Just direct communication with our team.
Step 2
Production Begins Immediately Upon Approval
Once you approve the quote and provide a PO along with wire and terminals (when applicable), your job enters production. Our vertically integrated machining capabilities allow us to control every stage of manufacturing, including:
- Wire EDM
- Precision machining
- Precision surface and Blanchard grinding
- Polishing and heat treating
- Laser etching
- Small batch black oxide
This ensures speed, accuracy, and consistency across every part.
Note: Perishable tooling and repeat-order customers benefit from priority scheduling to help minimize production interruption.
Step 3
Typical Delivery in 3 to 4 Weeks
Most tooling, applicator components, dies, and crimping tools typically deliver within three to four weeks, with faster turnaround available for a fee for critical situations.
For customers enrolled in a stocking agreement, replacement parts can ship same day or next day.
Step 4
Optional Stocking Agreement for High-Use Tooling
For components that wear frequently or require regular replacement, Diamond Die will:
- Build extras
- Hold inventory for you
- Ship within 24 hours
- Refill stock automatically
This eliminates downtime, ensures operational continuity, and gives production teams confidence that replacements are always available.
Step 5
Why This Process Works
- Short lead times
- High-volume production demands
- Complex termination programs
- Legacy tools with no drawings
- Engineers and buyers who need fast answers
- Zero tolerance for downtime
Every step is built to provide our customers with the fastest path to a reliable solution, and the confidence to keep coming back.
